On February 5, 2025, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Geer III, 39, of Auburn, on charges of criminal contempt in the second degree, a class a misdemeanor.
According to deputies, the arrest followed a report by the protected party of a full stay-away order of protection issued by Auburn City Court. The protected party alleged that Geer, her child’s father, had violated the order by calling her and leaving multiple voicemails.
Following an investigation, authorities arrested Geer for the violation. He was arraigned and remanded to Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
Geer is scheduled to appear in Port Byron Village Court on March 4, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
