Another Registered Sex Offender Among Five Charged in Sam Nordquist Torture and Murder Case
Kyle Sage, a registered sex offender, is among five individuals charged with the murder of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist. Sage was convicted in 2022 of disseminating indecent material to minors.
Kyle Robert Sage, a registered Level 1 sex offender, is among five individuals charged with the torture and murder of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist. Sage, 33, was convicted in 2022 of disseminating indecent material to minors and is listed on the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office sex offender registry through OffenderWatch.
Authorities allege Sage and four co-defendants subjected Nordquist to prolonged and brutal abuse that led to his death. According to a GoFundMe initially launched to help find Sam, the Minnesota native traveled to New York on September 28, 2024, to meet a girlfriend he had connected with online. His family last heard from him on January 1, 2025. Nordquist was transgender, a fact that has raised questions about potential motives behind the crime.
The investigation continues as law enforcement pieces together the circumstances of Nordquist’s death. All five suspects have been charged with murder under the depraved indifference statute under New York State law.
One co-defendant, Patrick Allen Goodwin, is also a registered sex offender with a violent Level 3 status.
