A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Norwich convenience store for the March 29 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at the Mirabito location at 4839 State Route 23 in Norwich. A second ticket with the same prize amount was sold at Players Cafe on Bleecker Street in Manhattan.
The $50,000 prize is awarded to players who match four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball. The winning numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69, with the Powerball drawn separately from a field of one to 26.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. and are broadcast live.
