18-Year-Old Clifton Springs Woman Arrested After Sodus 911 Call
Leah M. Stubbings, 18, of County Road 27, was taken into custody on February 14, 2025, in connection with an incident that occurred on August 2, 2024.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of an 18-year-old woman from Clifton Springs following an investigation into a 911 open-line call on Quarry Road in the Town of Sodus.
Leah M. Stubbings, 18, of County Road 27, was taken into custody on February 14, 2025, in connection with an incident that occurred on August 2, 2024. Stubbings faces multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs or alcohol, reckless endangerment in the second degree, unlawful fleeing from a police officer in a motor vehicle, third-degree assault, and various vehicle and traffic violations.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the charges stem from an incident where Stubbings allegedly operated a vehicle in an impaired condition and assaulted an individual with a blunt object before attempting to leave the scene. When deputies arrived, they tried to initiate a traffic stop, but Stubbings reportedly refused to comply and fled. This led to a vehicle accident that injured a passenger in her car.
During the investigation, deputies detected alcohol and marijuana on Stubbings. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed. Stubbings was then arrested and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where she submitted to a chemical test of her blood.
Stubbings was later released after her February arrest and is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2025. It is unclear how the 911 open-line call led deputies to Stubbings but it appears that Stubbings may have placed the phone call unknowingly, reuniting herself with deputies unexpectedly.
